Residential Support Worker

You will be working on a rota basis of 1 on / 2 off. Shifts are:

7am – 10:30am (including a sleep-in)
Pay

£26,520 – £27,560 (based on an average of 40 hrs per week)

+ £65 per sleep-in

Essential
-
Full UK driving licence
-
Right to work in the UK
-
Able to work on a rota basis (including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays)

Able to work 24hr shifts inclusive of a sleep-in

Good understanding of safeguarding children and young people

Willing to complete Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Care upon completion of probation

Willingness to support and nurture young people with complex needs
Preferable
-
Hold a Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent)

1 year’s experience working in residential care
-
Experience supporting children with EBD/LD
Skills

Good communication

Knowledge of safeguarding children and young people

Strong reporting and recording skills

Ability to assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans

Team player, contributing to a positive and supportive staff culture
